MUSICIANS NEEDED FOR ELEVATE FILM FESTIVAL, HOLLYWOOD

ELEVATE FESTIVAL of Film and Music is accepting submissions for directors, 7-10 page screenplays, documentary subjects, musicians, crew, behind the scenes crews and volunteers for our September 07 festival. ELEVATE is the first 48 hour festival to produce inspiring, conscious raising films. All of the projects will be premiered at the KODAK theatre September 15th. We do not accept finished projects, all films are made just for the festival within a 48 hour period. Production begins Sept. 7th. Please go to elevatefestival.com for more submission info. IAMA (INTERNATIONAL ACOUSTIC MUSIC AWARDS) ACCEPTING ENTRIES

The 4th Annual IAMA (International Acoustic Music Awards) is now accepting entries. IAMA promotes excellence in Acoustic Music Performance and Artistry. Acoustic artists in various genres can gain exciting radio and web exposure through this competition. Participating sponsors include D'Addario Strings, New Music Weekly, Loggins Promotion, Airplay Only, Sonicbids.com, Acoustic Cafe Radio Show and XM Satellite Radio. IAMA is open to all independent artists and labels. Unlike other music industry competitions, IAMA focuses on developing new markets for Acoustic artists, labels and with or without CD releases. Past year's winners include Fertitta and McClintock, Jen Foster, Millish, David Francey, Zane Williams, Suzanne Teng, Dave Potts, Mother Jane, Kate & Kacey Coppola and more.

Win prizes in 8 different categories: Folk/Americana/Roots, AAA/Alternative, Instrumental, Open, Bluegrass, Best Male Artist, Best Female Artist, Best Group/Duo. NEW COMPOSER SHOWCASE SEEKS SUBMISSIONS, NEW YORK

APAC (Astoria Performing Arts Center) is seeking submissions for its upcoming new composer showcase. APAC will be accepting submissions from new composers and lyricists for a showcase production to be presented in association with the 2007 New York Musical Theatre Festival. Directed by Brian Swasey, Musical Direction by Jeffrey Campos. Submissions will be accepted through July 31st 2007 and those composers chosen for the showcase will be contacted in August 2007. Submissions should include a cover page with contact information, a synopsis of the piece, a demo recording and/or sheet music, if available, including no more than four songs (maximum 4 characters), and descriptions of the songs. BATTLE OF THE BANDS WITH VORRES PRODUCTIONS

Director: Anthony Vorres. Vorres Productions is currently looking for bands/singers to compete in 'Anthony Vorres' Battle of the Bands: A benefit for the film One Cruel Day'. This exciting one night only event will be taking place on Saturday November 10, 2007 and will emanate from a popular dance and performance venue located in downtown Worcester, Massachusetts. Vorres Productions is currently accepting demos for consideration and is looking to select contestants from a pool of varied musical styles. So if you are a talented band or singer we want to hear from you right away! If your submission is able to impress us enough you (and your band) will be one of the eight groups to move onto the main stage at the Battle of the Bands event and perform in a tournament style competition that will culminate with only one group/singer being crowned the 'Battle of the Bands Champion', and walking away with a deal that will allow the winning group's music to appear in the upcoming 2008 independent short film 'One Cruel Day' a Vorres Productions production. MUSICAL THEATRE GALA FROM R&D MUSICAL PRODUCTIONS, LONDON

Brand new variety gala opening in Liverpool in early 2008 (dates TBC), requiring lead and ensemble cast members. One initial show at a major venue in Liverpool with the potential to tour the UK. Featuring sections from many major musical theatre shows currently running in the West End and Broadway. Auditions in London and Liverpool from July 2007. Cast members will be required for part-time rehearsals in Liverpool (with travel expenses paid and accommodation provided), and London.
