Set for PBS release and worldwide distribution. We are looking for an Assistant Editor who is experienced with Avid to come in beginning next week (really) to take us through picture lock and post work. There is a mix of creative and technical work to be done: more creative over the next several weeks, assembling sequences and supporting the editor and director as they polish the film; more technical as we prepare all the media for online, sound edit and mix and final delivery. Ideally, you will be equally comfortable in both instances. Pay is based on experience, but within a limited range. If you are used to commercial or feature rates, but are eager to break into documentary, don't rule this out. It's a great opportunity to help put the finishing touches on a beautiful project.
