Casting for the New York Film Academy Thesis film "Urban Caveman," about a young man, Peter, who has isolated himself in his apartment in the big city where he can avoid confrontation with the outside world. He satisfies his human needs with fast food, porn and philosophy. One day a beautiful girl, Sophie, disturbs this daily routine of his: Peter's parents have allowed her to crash in Peter's apartment until she finds a place of her own. Peter, at first reluctant, soon finds himself strangely drawn by this creature so very different from himself. Slowly she drags him out of his urban cave, his isolation, and shows other aspects to life that he had forgotten existed. Shooting July 7-14 in Manhattan and Brooklyn. BRIEF CONFESSIONS, STAGE PRODUCTION WITH GAY THEME, NEW YORK

Casting non-Equity understudies for an August production of Brief Confessions. Stipend: $40 per show. Synopsis: Six actors go on an audition for which they think is a legitimate film but when they arrive find out it was a scam the film they arrive on the set for is really an adult film. They cast gets to know each other a lot deeper after they wind up in jail for the night and they express their true feelings to one another as well as their fantasies from childhood until today. Sirona Studios is casting actors ranging in age from 4 to 90 for "Deception," an Arab Sopranos with a taste of the classic Hitchcock whodunit filmed in a Film Noir style; (think Maltese Falcon, Laura, and Double Indemnity). We are looking for Middle Eastern actors for key roles and at least one Asian Actor. We also need a person of short stature. We have a 24 day shoot in Southern NH and Northern Mass from 7/24 -8/18 with a wrap party on 8/19. We have several investors interested but as of this post, we have not yet secured financing. We are currently in talks with the agents for F. Murray Abraham, Fyvish Finkle, and Katherine Ross among others. The Webby Awards will honor website innovation and creativity in categories that include Art, Games, Lifestyle, Movie and Film, Music, NetArt and more, during a festival and awards ceremony from June 3-5 in New York. You can browse three floors of exhibitors that provide the essential tools for advancing careers, and actually audition at casting calls, model and talent searches, during the one day only Entertainment Industry Expo on June 3 in New York. The Hollywood Black Film Festival taking place June 5-10 in Beverly Hills, will feature narrative and documentary features, short and student films, music videos and animation in its competitive program, a separate Storyteller Competition for screenwriters, and nightly parties to attend, including the HBFF White Party at Royale on Wilshire. At CineVegas Film Festival in Las Vegas, June 6-16, Jerry Weintraub, producer of Ocean's Thirteen, will be honored with the Vanguard Producer Award, and joined by his all-star cast from the movie, during opening night festivities which will benefit the aid group, International Rescue Committee for Not On Our Watch, an organization whose campaign is to support Darfur humanitarian relief efforts.

At "Country Music's Biggest Party," better known as the CMA Music Festival, running June 7-19, the Fan Fair Exhibit Hall at the Nashville Convention Center, gives four-day attendees the opportunity to meet some of their favorite country music entertainment personalities.
