CASTING FOR CHILDREN'S DVD

C.P. Casting is casting for a Children's DVD in a genre similar to the US TV show Hi-5 to educate and entertain pre-schoolers on various topics. This is a paying, non-union job (If you already auditioned for this job in January, you do NOT need to audition again -- we're just putting the word out again because the project has been delayed and they are seeking more diversity in the final cast!). Auditions, rehearsals, shooting, etc. will take place in the Boston area, one day (tba) early in April.

Breakdown:
Indian, Asian, African-American, or Hispanic (only), youthful, high- energy, fun, fit, FEMALE performers, age 18-24, who SING AND MOVE WELL. You should have an inviting personality for both pre-schoolers and their parents. You should be able to express yourself through singing, movement and dance. Pleasant voices, friendly faces and welcoming personalities. You should be able to morph your personality from being a leader to being one of the kids in the audience without pretending to be juvenile. Fun loving, caring and warm, with a nice singing voice, easy to listen to speaking voice, and inviting smile.

Independent film company, Season Of Light Pictures, is looking for a documentary editor for a 75 minute feature doc on Traditional Chinese Martial Arts, set in Malaysia Borneo. The film was shot in September of 2005, with two Sony HDV cameras. It has gone through one rough cut/assembly. The 3rd Annual South Asian International Film Festival will return Oct. 4-8. This five-day high-profile event showcases the best new and established filmmakers and highlights the recent explosion of talent and theme in South Asian cinema. 2006 SAIFF seeks applicants for both full/part-time seasonal staff and volunteer positions with office experience, excellent organizational and communication skills, computer experience (MS Office and Database programs), and an interest in South Asian film/video. All internships can receive college credit. Daily small stipends offered. Seeking - MANAGEMENT & OPERATIONS: 1) Executive Assistant: primary level of support for President/Founder or Managing Director (virtually a full-time position after Aug. 1st). 2) Managing Director: responsible for financial and logistical aspects of festival. Work with Operations department and Programming department to develop/implement the budget and festival program. Even if you're not an A list invitee to the Oscar's this year you might get closer to the action than you think by attending any one of several Oscar Viewing Parties happening somewhere in your area. The 78th Annual Academy Awards takes place Sunday, March 5, at Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. It will be carried live by the ABC Television Network beginning at 5 pm PST, preceded by a one-hour red carpet arrivals show. And there are options to this show that seemingly attempt to move in synch with the Hollywood affair.

The Norby Walters' 16th Annual Night of 100 Stars Oscar Gala in Beverly Hills is a formal sit-down dinner viewing party mostly comprised of past Oscar winners and nominees who will pay tribute to their favorite award ceremony. The International Recording Media Association 36th Annual Recording Media Forum meets March 9-11 in Palm Springs to strategize on how to make rational predictions on product and delivery paths, to build practical business models. NABOB's 22nd Annual Communication Awards Dinner annually honors prestigious names in entertainment, communications and public service and this year includes a feature performance by Aretha Franklin at a March 10 event in Washington, D.C. SXSW 2006, the regarded film, music and interactive marketing conference and festival, now includes the first annual ScreenBurn Beta Festival enables consumers and game developers to preview the future of this industry, running March 10-19 in Austin.

The 49th Annual New York Emmy® Awards will be presented at a special black tie gala on March 12 in New York's Times Square district. Miami Winter Music Conference, regarded as the networking event in the dance music industry, runs March 24-28 in Miami Beach.
