Entertainment Tonight Emmy Party Highlights September Media Networking Events

The Houston Music Roundtable is an ongoing session every Tuesday night at Under the Volcano bringing artists and music industry producers together for a happy hour like networking session. Director Bryan Singer (X-Men) will be at ArcLight Cinemas to receive an award at the Los Angeles International Short Film Festival taking place from September 7-13. The International Broadcasting Convention showcases the latest technology and business ideas in broadcasting and new media when it opens September 9 in Amsterdam. Wendie Jo Sperber's Celebrity Golf Classic, taking place September 11, is a benefit for the weSPARK cancer support center. West Coast Songwriters Conference at Foothill College in Los Altos Hills will be held September 11 & 12. On September 14, Sherwood Oaks Experimental College in Los Angeles presents "The TV Writers Experience," geared to help those trying to break into writing for television through hosted session with industry brass. The Malibu International Film Festival, opening September 16 in Malibu, has an array of activity including an opening night party and fashion show. Hollywood notables will gather at Mondrian's Asia De Cuba and Skybar on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles for the Entertainment Tonight Emmy Party on September 19. The IFP Film Market is an ideal showcase for new features, works-in-progress, shorts, and scripts, and happens September 19-24 in New York. The goal of L.A. Office Roadshow is to help companies of any size add entertainment into their marketing programs when they have their run September 21-23 at various locations in Hollywood. The Americana Music Conference & Awards at the Nashville Convention Center runs from September 23-25. The 26th edition of the Aspen Film Festival honors actor-producer Michael Douglas at an award ceremony during its run from September 28 to October 3. Robert De Niro will receive an award for excellence in his craft at the DGA Honors on September 29 at the Waldorf Astoria in New York.
