CASTING SHORT FILM - TIME, LOS ANGELES

Robert Luis Rodriguez is casting for the short film "Time." Robert Luis Rodriguez Productions. SAG Short Film Agreement. SAG Number: 185368. SAG Rep: Anthony Hanna. Location: Los Angeles, CA. Logline: An over-the-hill television writer is reduced to pulling tapes at the DGA Film Archive by day and moonlighting doing feature film coverage for anybody with $50.00--including a rising matinee idol from New York and his posse. Breakdown: Vince: Tall, dark and handsome, early-mid 20’s male. A talented rising action adventure star cursed with the best looks since Bob Evans was in Blood and Sand—doesn’t trust anybody, really, but his childhood bud-turned manager. Eric: Short-average height medium build, Anglo early-mid 20’s male. Loyal as the day is long, just now learning the ropes as Vince’s would-be manager. John: Vince’s older half-brother, Latino and/or Anglo or both, lean 30’s male, former television star, now reduced to infrequent guest spots on forgettable sitcoms. Keeps in great shape as he fears he grows less employable with each passing day. Loves brother Vince dearly, and rarely jealous even though he owes any current acclaim he still has to Vince, and not the stuff of the TV legend he is in his own mind. Tortoise: Perennial butt of the others’ jokes, early-mid 20’s male, short, darkish and fat. Takes the abuse in stride, often imparting the only wisdom from the dreamers and has been that otherwise round out this troupe of wannabe maybes. Bob: Middle-aged heavy and balding male, once renowned television writer who can’t get arrested. By day he shelves tapes in the DGA’s Film Vault. On the side, he does coverage for anybody with the $50.00 [Note: This part has been cast.] Robert Luis Rodriguez Productions, 1925 Century Park East, Suite 500, Los Angeles, CA 90067.
