Label Relations Manager
Job Description
Napster, a digital music service provider, is currently looking for a Label Relations Manager for our Los Angeles office. The Label Relations Manager will manage and coordinate all communications, program execution and business relationships with our label partners to meet company objectives. This person will be responsible for identifying new sources of content, closing deals in tandem with the Legal Department, executing promotional programs and be the primary interface between the Music Programming Team and Napster’s label partners. The Label Relations Manager will report to the VP, Music Services.
Candidates will preferably have at least 4 years experience in a similar role at a large retailer, digital service or label. Potential candidates must be able to multi-task while leading and directing the work of others. Successful candidates will have extensive experience in working with the major labels and a strong professional network of contacts.
Requirements:
-Possesses superb presentation, verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with processes and technologies involved in publishing content to the internet and ability to work in a cross-functional capacity with internal development teams
- Identify new content acquisition opportunities.
- Manage the interface and tracking of potential new business targets and ongoing relationships.
- Define and Manage communications database.
-Maximize vendor relationships
-Provide input into special music programming projects
