BURNING HABITS CASTS FOR NYC THEATRE PRODUCTION

Union. Director: Blair Fell. Burning Habits is a 5 play, tragi-camp serial that runs over 5 months, Monday Nights Only, at Dillons Cabaret Theater in Mid-town Manhattan. It's a cult hit and we're looking for some excellent comediac actors to fill out our long-running company. Limited pay. Equity Showcase contract. (pending) Union or Non-Union. Fast learners. Breakdowns:
Hecuba Baboom (30-40, African American) Hecuba is a voluptuious, larger than life, singing Gypsy. She tells you your future and then sings Disco songs about it. She usually speaks in some sort of funny accent but she can be from anywhere. West Indian? Black Russian? Romanian? Must have a giant personality and huge laugh. Think a Jamaican Nell Carter or Older Monique. Can be any size. Must have great voice and be an incredible entertainer and comedian.
Priapus (25-35, White) Handsome, articulate, intense bi-sexual vampire. Sexy in an hilariously heroic and SEXY way. Speaks in long poetic monologues. Great comedian, but classically trained actor would be best. Must be fine with kissing men and women.
Crow Gottahave (25-35, White) Hot, hunky, butch gay bartender. No-nonsense guy, who spends much of the play in a state of semi-catatonia. Great comedian, with an awesome bod. Will play some other parts as well … including OTIS D’GRETTS (Any age) – More serious acting character, southern White Trash wife abuser. One of the only truly heavy roles in the show. Must be fine with kissing men and women.

HIP HOP STAGEPLAY

Sat, May 13th, 3pm Payan Theater (Times Square Arts Bldg.) 300 West 43rd Street @ 8th Avenue, 5th Fl Ghetto Chronicles, The hip hop musical stageplay, is holding auditions for the following: rappers, singers (r&b or gospel styles), spoken word artists and actors. All performers must be able to act and dance skills are a big plus. We are looking for professional, dedicated up & coming performers ages 12 - 35 who are able to learn song material quickly and work in a large cast.
