COMPOSER/MUSICIAN FOR SCHOOL VISUAL ARTS STUDENT FILM, NEW YORK
Payment is on a lo/no/deferred basis. An ambitious Student Thesis production is seeking a musician/composer for choosing and creating the best music for the film in the making. "The Other Kind of Balance" is an ambitious film about new discoveries and different views on life. It touches upon one's search for a release from an everyday mundane life and finding it in the place where one didn't dare to step into before, an alternative lifestyle. It's a film about personal acceptance and human duality. (final film will be about 1 hour long with a possibility of later being expanded to a full feature) Currently in the final stages of production and simultaneously in post-production editing stage, the film needs a good score to be complete. With the deadline in early April, we are seeking to get the composer/musician on board as soon as possible. Since this is a very low budget student production, some compensation is possible (but not guaranteed) Transportation fees, meals on collaborative days, copy of a final project and credits are guaranteed, as well as free exposure at film festivals. Apply to: Tanya at email: filmfilmfilm777@gmail.com. Expires March 3.

Aubrey: Jacqueline's 9-year-old son, this African American boy is an extremely well-spoken and scholarly youth who prefers Salinger to Grand Theft Auto. Seeking: Goldie: Age late 20's mid 30's, Caucasian. She's a beautiful, glamorous woman with a perfect face and body, enhanced by constant surgery. Freddie and Eva's close friend. She's a huge star in the pop music world, despite the fact that she hasn't had a hit in years. Married to legendary music producer, Milo Avner. Series regular (4). Ray Million: Freddie's husband of 17 years. He's a handsome, 39-year-old African American man, a former drug dealer who has gone on to become the preeminent rap and hip-hop producer in the country. Legendary African American rap and hip-hop star who has fallen out of favor with the public. Out of cash and desperate for a hit, Huss is floored when his old pal, Ray, fires him from his label. Huff keeps his firing a secret from Eva for a time -- but then, she's not telling him that she's been having multiple affairs behind his back, either. Recurring role. (9) Kadeem "Candy" Kane: Age 42, this intense African American prison inmate has "cannon-size arms" and a deadly attitude. Once Ray's close friend, Candy has a bitter grudge against Ray, whom he claims owes him millions. Now, Candy's about to collect on the debt -- anyway he can. Recurring role. (19) Milo Avner: Goldie's husband, age 62. A refined, legendary music promoter in a Gatsby-inspired suit. Often hard-pressed to cope with his diva spouse, Milo knows the music business in and out. Dora is horrified when the family pet is killed, and she rages at the police for not doing more to track the culprit. Featured (13). Aubrey: Jacqueline's 9-year-old son, this African American boy is an extremely well-spoken and scholarly youth who prefers Salinger to Grand Theft Auto.
